Memorial Day
You shouldn't say "happy" when you speak of Memorial Day. It is a day of remembrance and honoring of the Men & Women who gave life and limb to keep the dream of 1776 alive & not the reality of 1787
To the souls and the living with the loss and sacrifices, I will never give up, fighting the killers of freedom, liberty and the dream of 1776 for as long as I have breath in my body.
There are many songs written about the UNited States but the real United States picked up a great song called “God Bless America”. You won’t find a better version than by Kate Smith. The talk show host John Bachelor used to play it at the end of his program.
If you watch the video and get a little teary eyed, than you might be a machine or a mercantile socialist.
Along side of this celebration, is the anniversary of the greatest Sea Battle that mankind has seen yet. It’s called The Battle of Midway. I know the Russians and their friends, rightfully proclaim their losses against the Germans in WWII and how their losses were so much greater than ours. For that I say, why did the Soviets become partners with the Nazis and the Emperor? Why did Stalin commit a deadly purge against a huge part of his military when he needed most? How many of those dead are counted in that final figure? Why did Stalin need us to build weapons and ship them to him, while we were sending them to England as well? Did Stalin not get the second front from us that he needed which also created a second for us? Does the world not give a damn that the American people, had to build a Navy Force to traverse both of the largest oceans on the planet? Are we not to be rewarded for our expertise and training that lead to our not losing as many lives as the Soviets who didn’t have cross any oceans with their forces?
We will see the anniversaries of Midway and D-day cross paths very soon. I hope all of you will take a look at their history and realize that the planet and it’s history, stood absolutely still, until the people of the United States, made their move.
