CHAPTER 7
BOOKS TO HELP YOU ALONG
Of the best books that I can recommend you purchase and immediately read (if one had great limitations financially and, in my opinion, would deliver the greatest knowledge to restore Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, without leaving one guessing their goals should be) are:
Robert’s Rules of Order by Henry Martin Robert American (use to run your meetings)
Revolutionaries in the Making (Political Practice’s in Washington’s Virginia) by Charles S. Sydnor
Common Sense by Thomas Paine
Second Treatise of Government by John Locke
Slaying Leviathan by Glenn Sunshine George
Mason- Reluctant Statesman by Robert A. Rutland
Conceived in Liberty by Murray Rothbard (get the full set or the larger single printing)
The Papers of George Mason, edited by Robert A. Rutland (very pricy and getting harder to find)
Anti-Federalism & the Dissenting Tradition in America, 1788-1828 by Saul Cornell
Hamilton’s Curse by Thomas J. DiLorenzo
Letters of Centinel by Samuel Bryan
Civil Defense Manual by Jack Lawson
None of the authors listed in this treatise, have any affiliation with me or my opinions. Regardless of whether I agree or disagree with any or parts of the works listed, I have the utmost respect for the authors, who have stepped into the arena of free speech.
Common Sense, by Thomas Payne. This has been published and republished under a number of reprint ISBNs. Just search the title and the author and you should be able to find a good copy for little money.
At a minimum, these paperback editions of The Federalist Papers, edited by Clinton Rossiter from the Mentor number 99-13668 should be on your shelf.
The Anti-Federalist Papers, and the Constitutional Convention Debates, edited by Ralph Ketcham from the Mentor number 86-61331. Both of those volumes were published by Signet Books in paperback. Whatever version you buy, make sure to stick to the most “Source” material you can get.
Robert’s Rules of Order, originally published in 1907, comes in many reprint editions. You will need this to help mold the procedures of the meetings of your new Freeholders groups. You may also find that Volunteer Firemen, are familiar with these rules as they have meetings of their members and most of them go by these rules.
The Works of Thomas Jefferson, Volume 1 ISBN-13: 978-1616401948
The Papers of George Mason, Volumes 1, 2 and 3. (counting as three books) Edited by Robert Rutland all should be using ISBN 13: 9780807811344. (If not available then search for books by Kate Mason Rowland and Helen Hill Miller on the subject) George Mason, Reluctant Statesman, by Robert A. Rutland ISBN 0-8071-0696-8. This little book, really clues history together for you from The Papers of George Mason, like Rothbard’s Conceived in Liberty, a book that covers our nation’s founding days like no other for its size. Robert A. Rutland’s books are a “must have” little treasure.
“Conceived in Liberty”, by Murray Rothbard, ISBN 978-1-933550-98-5 This book was originally published in a four-volume set. As with any of these titles, seek out good used copies and build your group library for less money.
Those are the few I would have on hand and up front to do battle with our time of crisis. One of the shocking things I found when looking for many of these books (or not so shocking depending on your awareness) was that libraries across our nation (especially those in public schools) purged many of them by throwing them out or selling them cheap. This book purge took place during the years of the Barak Obama presidency. A coincidence?
If you really want to get a grounding, look for good reprints of the Journal of the Continental Congress and the never spoken about but published “Secret Journals of the Continental Congress”.
Having John Locke’s “Second Treatise of Government” is a must, to see the links used by Mason and Henry to the enlightenment for the Declaration of Rights. (though get exposure to it from Rutland’s works)
To see how the Big Government lovers gather some of their ideas, you have to have Thomas Hobbes’ “Leviathan” on hand. “Leviathan” is the anti-American dream.
To see where the modern day “communist” gets their idea of how to take over government’s by first destroying a culture and its wealth, you have to have at least a good “Reader” version of Marx and Engels on hand. My favorite of these is an edition edited by Robert C Tucker, published by Norton and Company. You get the meat of Marx’s unfinished book “Theories of Surplus Value” and the portion entitled “Criss Theory”. There is where they diagram the destruction of a Free Market economy, so named by Marx as “Capital”. You saw it first ten years ago with a small test known as “Cash for Clunkers”. It is now in full force action by the Globalists with this fake pandemic and the action they are taking by their concocted rationale. It is quantified by the process of, problem, action, solution in the largest form since Fascists and Communists tried to take control of the entire planet in the last century. They call it, The Great Reset.
There are obviously many other books that all of the people who line themselves up on one side or another of our ongoing year-to- year struggle with governance would choose for their “must have” collection. We don’t all have the money to build such a collection. Getting your local Freeholders to buy a few books to build a library amongst yourselves is the quickest way to ensure you can get them involved in time to help you and to have on hand for those who want to read them later. This will help you with passing along the Generational Transmission that is missing today.
The biggest problem we have now at the time of my writing this book, is that we have no more time for you all to become “scholars” on this subject. The planned Generational Transmission disconnect of Marx and Durkheim, has been successful. We must give our hearts and minds the basic required reading to fill the voids left by modern institutional brainwashing. It is much better time spent than watching videos.
On A Proper Election Design
In the absolute must-read book from 1952, “American Revolutionaries in the Making” by Charles S. Sydnor, you will see what real elections were like, in our state (Virginia) and the other states at the time of the American Revolution.
The book shows you that they did in fact, fine people who had the right to vote, (suffrage) when they did not appear and cast their vote on ELECTION DAY. The fines were quite stiff!
Sydnor, shows us how the election was carried out by the local Sheriff’s office. The Sheriff or Deputies, would sit at a table with the candidates at the court house and a voter would walk up to the table and verify they were able to vote in that district. It was possible that if somebody there could prove a person was not eligible to vote, they would be turned away!
The voter, would stand before the Sheriff and the Candidates (who each had their own vote recorder) and declare who and or what they cast their vote for. No secret ballots! (Secret ballots were an invention of the colony of South Carolina)
The election was only one day (as it had been in the US until the later half of the 20th Century as a result of Sociologists, employed around the nation in education, government agencies and political party machines who started us on this 50-year decline and destruction of our election with things such as early voting, absentee voting and accepting a vote, after the election was over) and everybody took the day off to get to the polling place. It was a highly coveted right and ANY IRREGULARITIES were not tolerated.
We need to return to that same model and consider this, if you cannot trust your Sheriff to have possession of the paper version of the registered voters and their information, where that Sheriff (or their Deputies and multiple locations in your county, town or city) can record your vote, made in public so all of us can count the votes openly, then how can you trust a system that has multiple levels of a chain of evidence that has no accountability or integrity?
Absentee ballots? No more. What about the military? They can have an election day on their base, run by the Military.
You have to work? Your Public Weal must make sure your Sheriff’s Department, sets up enough polling places so that distance and time are of as little concern as going to a store or the gas station and your employer must allow you to go vote.
