and that's one of the odd moments in American Graffiti, where Paul Le Matt's character (John Milner) discloses his dislike for the "surfer shit" and of course, the famous line of "Rock n' Roll's been goin' down hill ever since Buddy Holly died". I wonder how Paul felt about that line of dialog? Funny, they didn't have any Elvis on the soundtrack because Colonel Parker wanted too much money.
